The internet is amazing. It is a place where our children can play, learn, create and connect - opening up a whole world of exciting possibilities. However, with the digital world changing all the time, we work hard to make sure we keep ourselves as a school fully informed of what we can do to help our children stay safe and keep you as parents/carers informed too.  In order to work towards this we have recently held an Internet Safety Day across our federation, when one of our specialist staff from Hamwic Education Trust ran informative assemblies for all of our children as well as workshops for parents and carers.  Power points and information sheets shared at the parent/carer workshops, can be seen by clicking on the links below …

e-Safety Coronavirus Update:

Where can I go to get support to help keep my child safe online?

Children are spending an increasing amount of time online at the moment and it is not always possible to fully supervise this; though we would always recommend that children are online in an area where you can watch and monitor its useThere is a lot of support available to ensure you are keeping your child safe online.

Below are some useful links to help parents and carers:

·         Thinkyouknow (advice from the National Crime Agency to stay safe online)

·         Internet matters (support for parents and carers to keep their children safe online)

·         Parent info (support for parents and carers to keep their children safe online)

·         LGfL (support for parents and carers to keep their children safe online)

·         Net-aware (support for parents and careers from the NSPCC)

This presentation gives information from Dorset police around keeping your children safe online.  Please take the time to read this and discuss the safety tips with your child.
