On behalf of our community,
welcome to Livingstone Road Primary Federation.
Our federation consists of
Livingstone Road Infant School and Livingstone Road Junior School. We work as a
primary school team across two amazing sites. Everything we plan is progressive,
from EYFS to Year 6, including our curriculum, reading offer and behaviour
policy. Children start their learning journey with us at 4 years old and transfer
to our junior school at the end of Year 2, to complete their primary journey to
the end of Year 6. During their time at our Federation we prepare the children
to have the skills and knowledge they need to move onto the next stage of their
learning.
As a federation, we recognise
that all children have individual needs and our aim is to provide a happy,
stimulating environment where everybody is valued and encouraged to fulfil
their potential. Both of our school sites have been developed to create learning
spaces that engage and inspire children and provide them with amazing learning
opportunities. Reading has been a recent key focus because we feel this is the
gateway to all learning. We want all children to have a love and passion for
the written word and we created The Book Factory, Narnia, The Train Room and
our Alice in Wonderland garden as spaces for our children to develop their love.
Please watch our virtual tours to see these fantastic spaces! We are also
currently developing a new ICT suite and Art/DT room for all children to use.
Both our schools have recently
had an Ofsted inspection (Oct 21 and Nov 21) and received a ‘Good’ judgement.
We are so proud of these outcomes and that the reports recognise our team of
talented and dedicated staff, who all work together to provide the best
possible education for the children in our care.
Although not part of our
Federation, Kidscape at Livingstone Road, operates from premises on our Junior
School site and we work closely with them. They provide wrap around care for
our children, including breakfast club, after school club and holiday clubs,
which means that the children can be cared for onsite outside of school opening
hours.
Staff, Governors and Parents
together share a common interest – the happiness, wellbeing and education of
your children.
Our ethos says it all:
Together we can
Learn, Laugh, Dream, Grow
I hope you enjoy our website and
look forward to welcoming you to our school.
Yours sincerely
Mrs Suzy Hayward
